Iditarod Winter Camporee
February 15-17, 2019

Participants: This event is for Boy Scouts. Webelos may come for the day on Saturday.
Check-in and Registration: All troops should check in upon arrival. We want to know where you intend to camp before you set up.
Registration Fee: Pre-Registration must be done online. The registration fee will be $13.00 for each person that stays overnight. The cost for Saturday only will be $10.00. The fee covers the cost of patch, prizes, awards, fees, insurance, etc.
Water: Water is available in the main lodge
Fire: There will be no fires in camp site areas. There will be on fire near the lodge.
Toilets: There will be outdoor restrooms on the grounds for anyone’s use. The lodge will have both youth restrooms and adult restroom.
Camping area: All camping will be done behind the lodge. Troop trailers will not be allowed in camping area. Food prep will need to be done in the parking lot.
Special Note: Indoor sleeping is available: room for 30 youth and 30 adults with tarp separating male and female adults.
Activities include:
- Snowsports Merit Badge (snowshoeing) Scouts will need to print workbook and fill out all first aid requirements. Snowshoes will be provided for the first 30 Scouts that sign up for the snowsports merit badge.
- Ice Fishing – largest fish wins a prize. An Ice auger will be provided, bring all your own ice fishing gear. Note: Ice fishing will only take place if ice is determined to be safe on the day of the event.
