Samoset Council Conservation
Our Conservation Committee (along with Properties and Camping Committeess) are dedicated to managing, maintaining, and planning for the sustainable use of Samoset Council's properties for recreational use and to preserve our natural resources through proactive stewardship, volunteer engagement, education, hard work, and the ideals of the BSA. We have a group of decicated volunteers, staff, and with the help of the Tesomas Conservation Association we have engaged and involoved many different agencies to develop a working plan for our properties.
Mission Statement
The Council Conservation Committee provides the Council with technical assistance and expertise regarding matters of ecology, conservation, and resources manageemnt to guide policy making and operational decisions regarding the management of the Council's natural and cultral resources, promotion of conservatioon related training, and advancement of conservation programs on our properties.

Webelos and Boy Scouts can spend a day (weekend) at camp and earn their Forestry badges. The Samoset Conservation Committee will be leading the group to get them through the requirements, Boy Scouts will begin at 10 AM and Webelos will begin at 11 AM and all will be done by 4 PM. Cost is $15 per Scout, payable at the door. Sack Lunches provided

Summer Camp Conservation Program
During each summer we have conservation projects and property improvements in prgress and look for units and individuals assistance. Starting in May 2022 our Conservation Committee will regonize each unit and individual with a special Samoset Conservation Preservation Patch. This can be earned as a unit or by an indivdual.
