Youth Program Coordinator

The Samoset Council is seeking qualified applicants to fill part-time youth program coordinator positions. Qualified applicants will have strong communication and organizational skills and must be dedicated to serving as a consistent role model for youth. Applicants must be 21 years of age. Experience with Scouting is helpful but not required.

The Scouting Outreach program is designed to help youth learn citizenship and responsibility while participating in fun activities. The program coordinator provides a fun and interactive Scouting program at partnering agencies in central Wisconsin. The program specialist is expected to be self-motivating, friendly, and able to work independently. This is a part-time position for a maximum of 25 hours per week. Program time typically occurs in late afternoon or early evening.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage youth in a quality program following a weekly syllabus that includes lessons in character development, citizenship, outdoor skills, etc.
  • Maintain weekly attendance records.
  • Prepare annual program plan and written weekly lesson plans for each program site.
  • Share information with parents about events and activities available to them.
  • Encourage parent and family participation.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.00 /hour
