The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Boat Safety Instructors will be offering the Wisconsin DNR Boat Safety Course and Motor Boating Merit Badge. Wisconsin law dictates anyone born after January 1, 1989 must have a Boat Safety Certificate to operate a boat.

Classes will be from 6-9 p.m. on July 27, 28, and 30th. July 31, 2020, the class will be from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. and students need to attend all four nights. 

The cost for this course is $10 payable at first session (cash or check payable to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department). A prerequisite for the Scouts is they pass the BSA Swimmer’s Test before the program starts.
