Directions

Take the County X (Camp Phillips Road) exit off of Hwy 29 East by the new St. Claire's Hospital. Go north (left) for approximately 2.5 miles. We are located on the right side of the road.

It's Time to Change Our Council Strip

In conjunction with BSA’s Centennial celebration and Samoset Councils 90th anniversary, we are proud to announce that the Council will begin accepting entries for a new council strip that may eventually become the one that all members of Samoset Council will wear on their uniforms in 2010. Electronic artwork is preferred but we will accept reasonable paper artwork that we can present to a patch design company for refinement and finishing. All artwork will be sorted for general quality and ease of production by the patch company. Five entries will be chosen and put to vote in each of the six contests as listed in the timetable below. The first five contest winning designs will be collectable patches only and will be entered in the final contest that will determine which one will be our new uniform council strip for 2010. Depending on the number and quality of the designs, not all entries may end up in a contest. Each of the winning designs will be for sale in the Scout Shop approximately four to six weeks after being chosen.
