Wood Badge 2009Experience the Best of Scouting with Some of Scouting’s Best EXPECTATIONS Wood Badge for the 21st Century is advanced leadership training within a Scouting context. Everything you learn in Wood Badge can be applied in the business world, in one's personal life, as well as in Scouting. You will live and work in the outdoors with fellow Scouters under the guidance of the Wood Badge Staff. You will learn the contemporary leadership concepts utilized in corporate America and leading government organizations that are relevant to our values-based movement OUTCOMES You will have the opportunity to join with other Scouters to share ideas, discuss challenges and locate resources. Attendees form new and lasting friendships during their Wood Badge experiences, Wood Badge is an intense leadership training that will change your life. Your experience begins at Akelas World located at Crystal Lake Scout Reservation, in Rhinelander. You will check in on Friday morning at 7:30 AM. For those who have a lengthy commute, accommodations can be made for an early arrival, please contact the Course Director. Wood Badge teaches leadership and team-building skills in a comfortable outdoor setting. There isn't anything else in Scouting like it. Best of all, Wood Badge is FUN!
