Cub Scout Join Night - September 8, 2016
Cub Scout join night is a recruiting event held in every community in the Samoset Council to give boys an opportunity to join their local pack.
The time leading up to join night is a cooperative effort between council, district, and pack volunteers to reach out to every boy in the community with a personal invitation to join Cub Scouts. Families have many choices when deciding programs and activities in which to participate and presenting Cub Scouts as the best choice requires planning, effective marketing, and conducting a well-organized registration event. Use the resources below to assist with planning your recruitment effort.
Promoting Your Join Night
A basic principle of marketing is that people need to be invited to do something an average of seven times before they are likely to take action. How does that apply to Cub Scout recruitment? It’s important that boys are invited to your pack’s Cub Scout join night at least seven times. Click on any of the resources below for more information about that particular marketing tool.
