New Leader Essentials

Thank you for participating in training to become the best leader for our youth.

As a new leader in Scouting you are embarking on a great and worthwhile adventure.

New Leader Essentials is the initial training for every adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America.

You will experience a seven-part training session presenting an overview of the core elements of Scouting. You will learn about Scouting’s mission, aims, methods, resources, and adult leader expectations. And you’ll get to answer a few questions along the way!

At the conclusion of each part of this session, you will have helped build a part of your Scouting bridge. Let’s get started!
