Fun, Adventure, Values… You've found it all with Scouting, the most proven and successful youth program in America. Founded in 1920, Samoset Council currently serves 6,300 youth in north-central Wisconsin. We provide the necessary support services to ensure success of our districts and the units they support. Furthermore, the council provides year-round camping programs, youth and adult training opportunities and a council service center.
Report to the Governor: On Wednesday February 18, 2015 seven Eagle Scouts, representing the 57,000 youth served by Scouting in Wisconsin, gathered at the State Capitol in Madison to deliver the 2014 Boy Scouts of America Report to the State. The annual report highlights the positive contributions that Scouting has on youth and communities across Wisconsin.
2016 Summer Camp Reservations: Beginning March 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM, reservations will be accepted for 2016 through an online registration process.
BSA to prohibit use of 15-passenger Vans: Effective Sept. 1, 2015, the use of 15-passenger vans manufactured before 2005 will no longer be allowed in connection with Scouting programs and activities.
Samoset Council Earns National Recognition, Ranked #4 Nationally in Journey to Excellence: The Samoset Council proved once again in 2014 it is among the most outstanding Boy Scout council’s in the country. The national rankings have been released and we are among the top five council’s in achieving Journey to Excellence success. Congratulations and thank you to the many volunteers who made this possible.
Part-Time Program Delivery Specialist Position: The Program Delivery Specialist will have direct responsibility for the development and success of Scouting Outreach programs.
