Wood Badge for the 21st Century

As the core leadership skills training course for the BSA, Wood Badge focuses on strengthening every volunteer's ability to work with groups of youth and adults and is less focused on outdoor skills, which are more effectively addressed in other training courses.

Dates:  August 25-27 & September 22-24, 2017

Requirements to Participate:

• Be a registered member of BSA
• Attendance at both weekends is required
• Complete This is Scouting and Leader Specific Training for your registered position.
• Must be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment.
• Parts A, B & C of the BSA Health Form is required.
• Outdoor Skills Training is not required but would be useful.
• A full Scout uniform will be the dress for the course.

Outcomes:

You will have the opportunity to join with other Scouters to share ideas, discuss challenges and locate resources. Attendees form new and lasting friendships during their Wood Badge experiences, Wood Badge is an intense leadership training that will change your life.  Wood Badge teaches leadership and team-building skills in a comfortable outdoor setting. There isn't anything else in Scouting like it. Best of all, Wood Badge is FUN! Please join us on the trail to a mountaintop experience in one of the greatest adventures in Scouting.
