Each year, Samoset Scouts contribute over 30,000 hours of community service to strengthen our neighborhoods and enhance our quality of life. From raising money for food banks, highway and park clean up, to helping community seniors, our youth and adult volunteers are making the north central Wisconsin a better place to live.

Scoutreach is a special form of support within Scouting. Scoutreach offers the opportunity for youth who live in our community whose parents/guardians may not have the means to pay the basic expenses associated with Scouting such as uniforms, membership fees and other materials. Scoutreach is the BSA’s commitment to making sure that all young people have an opportunity to join Scouting, regardless of their circumstances, neighborhood, or ethnic background. This year the need for financial aid will be greater than ever before.

Unfortunately, like many businesses, the pandemic has had a substantial negative impact on our Council. However, the fact remains, our community needs Scouting now, more than ever. This year #GivingTuesday is December 1, and we’re asking you to rally with us to create maximum impact. Giving Tuesday emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing. This is your chance to help sustain the quality of local Scouting programs and to bring the values and mission of Scouting to even more families in 2021.

Invite everyone you know to visit Samoset.org and click the donate button on December 1. Help us to kick off the season of giving!
