Northwoods Program
Buckboard Skills Day, August 11
Held at the Flambeau Canoe Base, this should be one of the BIGGEST Cub Scouting events of the year. Scouts will enjoy a day of challenges and team-building experiences and a ton of FUN! Don't miss your opportunity to be part of this great event!
Program Kick-off, August 16
This is your opportunity as a Unit Leader and/or parent to get the necessary information to plan your Pack or Troop’s program for the year. At the Program Kickoff your unit will be asked to sign up for the fall popcorn sale by indicating the leaders in your Pack or Troop that will be responsible for the sale. For Cub Scout Packs, you will be signing up for your Fall Recruitment night.

Iditarod Review
The 2012 Northwoods Iditarod was hosted by Troop 540 at the Flambeau Canoe Base on February 24 – 26 with great success. The main competition of the weekend was the sled race, but Scouts also brushed up on their fire making, compass, and first aid skills for stations found along the “Iditarod Challenge Trail.” Three Troops were in attendance and had a wonderful time: 503, 540 and 599. A special thank you to the following for organizing this event: Troop 540, Peggy Straight and Paul Melby.
Pinewood Derby Results
The 2012 Northwoods District Pinewood Derby was held on March 10 at Tomahawk Elementary School. The top six winners from all Packs were invited to attend, and there was a great competition between 53 boys. This event would not have been possible without the combined efforts of Pack 540, Pack 599 and Pack 503.
