Vision

Mission

To build and improve the council’s major properties, ensure the next generation of Scouts have the best camp experience possible and to recognize volunteers who provide this service.

Goals

To identify and recruit quality and capable volunteers. To develop and maintain a database of volunteers and their skills. To complete approved projects on time and within the financial guidelines of the budget.

Typical Projects

Participation Guidelines

1. All participants must be 18 years of age or older and a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America.
2. Service Hours are recorded on a “service year” basis from May 1st to April 30th of the following year.
3. Service Hours are redeemable for your choice of recognition items.
4. Unredeemed Service Hours may be carried over to succeeding service years provided a minimum of 10 hours were worked that year.
5. Work Trek, Order of the Arrow workdays and conferences do not count toward total hours worked.
6. Service Hours may be accumulated at the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation, Tesomas Scout Camp, Akela’s World Scout Camp, Hanna Venture Base, Phillips Scout Camp or Flambeau Canoe Base.
7. All redeemable Service Hours must be on Council approved projects.

Tracking of Hours

Submit your hours using our online tracking system. Hours will be reviewed/approved quarterly and current standings will be posted on the website.

Recognition

Redeem your hours at Work Trek in May or at a Construction Crew event during the year.
