How to Register Campers for Akela’s World

  • Select the session you or your pack wants to attend, see page 10.
  • Register online (see page 17 for procedures) or complete the registration form (available online) and return it to the Scout Center with the camper deposits of $50 (due April 1st).
  • Registrations will be limited to 140 campers per session and are taken on a first-come, first serve basis. Therefore, we encourage you to register early. (If you have additional campers but the availability is listed as full please contact Michael or Scott as we may be able to add them still. We reserve the last 30 spaces for packs who are already registered in a session to add to. Our total capacity is 170).
  • Full fees are due by May 30. Campers registered after April 1st will pay a $10 late fee.

Attending Akela’s World with Another Unit

  • If a Scout is unable to attend with your unit, don’t let them miss the summer camp experience. Register them with one of our provisional packs or with another pack.
  • Provisional pack sessions: July 7-10 & August 11-14. Adults are welcome to attend, though not required, as we will provide adequate adult leadership.

Advancement Signup at Camp

  1. When you arrive you will get a print out of all your Scouts/Scouters and what merit badges/activities they are registered for.
  2. See someone in the Program Center on the day you arrive for questions about what advancement opportunities your Scouts should take or registration procedures.
  3. You will have the afternoon to look the advancement printout over and bring any changes (additions, deletions, etc) to the Adult Leader meeting.
  4. Our staff will then enter any corrections into the online database and place the bluecards in the appropriate mailbox.
  5. Anytime in the afternoon, Boy Scout bluecards can be distributed in the advancement mailboxes in the basement of the Program Center. Please indicate the time when the merit badge/activity is going to be taken on the top of the bluecard just above the Scout’s address.
